Four-Legged Blinged Out Divas

People have come to realize that their pet is the only one that doesn’t judge them, gossip about them, or have any better plans than to let them know how wonderful they are. Pet owners get a boost to their self-esteem from these domesticated creatures. Thankfully, human beings are returning the favor with fair treatment and lavish pampering.

Francie, a golden retriever owned by an oil prospector wears a handmade solid Swarovski crystal dog collar on weekdays. She really sparkles and shines while running her mundane errands, at the price of $500.00. On the weekends Francie sports a 15 carat showpiece when there’s an event worthy of her presence. The center is a 3.5 carat diamond heart surrounded by 5 carats of round flashers. There are 6.5 carats of hand-set diamonds that blend this piece of work onto an ostrich leather collar. Neal never said exactly what the price was, but one evening after a bit of wine he mumbled something in the ballpark of $450 thousand. Every time I fill up my gas tank I think of Francie.

Stella is a Teacup Pig that is just as unique as her diamond earrings. Stella’s dad trades jets, and is equally enthralled with his little oinker. Stella racks up frequent flyer miles wearing a one carat emerald in each ear, and a colossal matching necklace. The gems are cut in bars to spell out her name, for a total of 22 carats. No matter what -- don’t call it a collar or Glenn will correct you by pointing out that it’s a necklace because it’s melded, and not attached to a strap. The guy hasn’t had much luck with the ladies and the last one looked a bit like Stella. Glenn channelled his love when he had the emerald pieces custom-made in France for his tiny teacup at the whopping price of $519 thousand.

Tess is a Siberian Husky with a snotty attitude. Her mother is a successful realtor, and every time you have a conversation with the woman she tells you that Tess is adorable. The pup looks weighed down by her jewels which include 5 oval shape rubies set in a crocodile leather band. Furthermore, there are 400 white diamonds that adorn this piece. Tess’s owner shouts from the rooftops that she paid $541 thousand for this 27 carat collar.

There’s a $1.8 million dollar dog collar for sale on 5th Avenue in New York City. It has a total of 52 carats spread around a 7 carat diamond center stone, 1600 hand-set diamonds, and 9 pear-shaped dazzlers. To date there hasn’t been any takers. A love-struck pet owner will eventually buy it for their pooch in return for their fabulous companionship.
