Irish Wedding Jewelry

The Irish Claddagh wedding ring has become widely popular in the past decade. The origin of the ring was in a tiny Irish fishing village over 300 years ago, Claddagh means “flat stony shore”. The Claddagh ring displays symbols of friendship, love, and loyalty. The band has a continuous design that might be accompanied by diamonds.

A crown, clasping hands, and a heart adorn the Claddagh ring. When worn as a sign of marriage the ring is put on the left hand with the crown pointing away from the body (the person’s heart). Hands are clasping the heart to symbolize friendship, the hearts itself is a sign of love, and the crown professes loyalty. The way the ring is worn tells a silent story. If a person wears the ring on the right hand with the crown toward their heart it means that they are not interested in starting a relationship. Worn on the right hand with the crown pointing away means they are open for love.

The Celtic cross adorned with Trinity knots symbolizes your religious beliefs, regardless of what they are, and also stands for general thoughts and ideals. The legend is that Saint Patrick presented the Celtic cross to the Irish, which in a short time became a symbol of Christianity. When the cross is worn on the wedding day it makes a statement of choice and certainty.

Gucci Wedding Watch

In 1906 The House of Gucci was founded in Florence Switzerland, and several decades later Gucci introduced the accurate timepiece to Rome. The flourishing business eventually expanded to Japan, France, and England. The Gucci Empire nearly vanished in the seventies due to a number of damaging business choices. The corporation emerged again in the late nineties only to gain broad recognition and a consistent following.

The Swiss began a tradition once the company was thriving again. A bride presents her future husband with a Gucci watch on the morning of their wedding to represent versatility, dependability, and timelessness. This custom has since been adopted around the globe and in recent years the Gucci watch is also given to a groom from his bride.

Hawaiian Wedding Bracelets

On a visit to England in the late eighteen hundreds the Queen and Princess of Hawaii were presented with solid gold bracelets which had their names cut out from the precious metal. The women were so enamored by the gesture that after returning home the royal ladies chose a Hawaiian jewelry to create similar bracelets for other family members.

Silver is also crafted into beautiful wedding bracelets, each with a single and meaningful word stamped or etched into the piece. A Hawaiian bride may have numerous bracelets on her arms that tell a love story, each one displays a single word. When wearing these striking Hawaiian bracelets there’s the heartwarming belief that you carry a piece of Hawaii with you.
